Quest or Grind
You will need to spend about 70% of your time with this game growing your strength and then once you are strong enough you can complete the Main quests lines to complete the game. The Main quests are described on the Guide Page here.
There are a number of repeatable Side Quests in MM2 as you will see by looking at the ↻ column in the Quest table below. Click or Tap the row for more details.

MM3 does not have random encounters. Areas do not reset encounters when you exit and re-enter, this means the once an area is cleared, it remains cleared. There are however Foe Generators and these can be leveraged for a level grind if you like. See the Foes page here for more details.
Hirelings
There are 10 hirelings to chose from in MM3. There are NOT a plethora of class specific quests as in MM2 so you can select 2 hirelings that compliment your core party and stick with them for the whole game. Check our Hireling page here for more details.
Secondary Skills
In MM3 there is no limit to the quantity of secondary skills that each character can have. Check the Secondary Skills page here for details about the skills and also where to find them.
Gear
MM3 has simplified the basic weapons are armor lists but introduced is the “modifier” concept where prefix and suffix words are added to gear to diversify abilities and cost. Check out the Gear page here for more details.
Boosts
MM3 has increased the amount of Boosting that is possible for your characters. Stats can go much higher and so it is prudent to understand how the boosts work and where to find them. Some boosts are capped and so finding them early in the playthrough is ideal. Check out the Boost page here for more details.
