MM7 Alchemy

MM7 Alchemy allows for Potion creation that you can use for various effect on characters even if they are incapacitated. If your Alchemist is incapacitated they will not be able to mix potions but your other non-Alchemist characters can still mix up basic potions. Mixed potions have a Power value that is related to the Alchemy skill and also the Power of the base reagents used. Catalysts can be used to increase the Power of a potion assuming the Catalyst is of higher level than the base potion.

Basic Potions

No Alchemy skill necessary. These are helpful in the situation where your Healer is unconscious and you need anyone to throw a Red Reagent into a Bottle to get them back to healing. Blue reagents are helpful to get a few SP back so you can cast Town Portal.

Black Potions

Grandmaster Alchemy skill required. These are arguably the main reason to take Alchemy at all. Note that Statistic boosting Black potions are Permanent but each Statistic can only be boosted this way ONCE per character. Keep track of it so you don’t waste any Black Potions — and/or save before using them. Keep a few Stone to Flesh handy in case your Earth caster gets STONED. Rejuvenation is also quite mandatory to restore true age periodically.
