Wizardry 8 Skills

There are a total of 41 skills divided into four categories: Weaponry, Physical, Academia, and Expert. Each profession starts with a particular set of skills and each profession is a specialist in 1 skill. The effectiveness of a skill depends on its level and the Primary and Secondary attribute values.

Skills may automatically increase when you use the skill such as swinging a weapon, detecting a hidden item, or casting a spell. It pays off to practice skills to raise them but you can also increase skills explicitly during the level up process. Check the details below to see a tip for practicing each skill.

Characters earn Expert Skills when they max an attribute at 100, not counting bonuses.
